Lucknow, Oct 24 (ANI): During a party meeting in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday broke down and refuted allegations of launching a new political party.“People are saying a new party will be formed. Who is forming is a new party? I am not,” he said. Upon the father-son feud, he said he is ready to resign if directed by his father and party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav. “If Netaji asked me for resignation I would have given it,” Akhilesh Yadav said. Rubbishing the controversies surrounding the Samajwadi Party (SP), the Chief Minister said that he will take appropriate action against any anti-party activities, if found. Commenting on senior party leader Amar Singh’s statement that Akhilesh Yadav will not be in rule in November, Yadav said that he was hurt by the former’s statement. The Samajwadi party leader was addressing at the party workers in Lucknow.
