New Delhi [India], Oct.25 (ANI): One of the biggest oats recipe contests in India, 'Quaker Bring Your Tastiest Bowl,' concluded on October 23 with the winner taking home Rs. 50 lakh.

14 aspiring chefs from across the country showcased their culinary prowess, creating popular dishes with oats.

Celebrated Chef Vikas Khanna curated the finale and adjudged the winner of the best recipe created with 'Ek Muthi Quaker' oats.

Speaking about the initiative, Deepika Warrier, Vice President - Nutrition Category, PepsiCo India said, "As one of most credible nutrition brands in the world, Quaker has been actively driving awareness about the benefits of oats and how easy it is to add 'ek muthi' or a fistful of nutrition to our daily diet without compromising on taste. We received a phenomenal response to the Quaker Bring Your Tastiest Bowl with over 6000 recipes and we believe this was a small step to encourage our consumers to create innovative and healthier ways to enjoy Quaker oats."

Congratulating the contestants, Chef Vikas Khanna, Nutrition Brand Ambassador said, "I was overwhelmed by the innovative recipes that we received for the Quaker Bring Your Tastiest Bowl contest. The competition today was extremely tough and the contestants rose to the challenges we set them. Congratulations to the winner and all those who made it to the finale. This has been an amazing platform to bring out all the brilliant closet chefs who are cooking at home for their family or loved ones, but love to experiment with ways to make their cooking healthier."

On a related note, the 'Quaker Bring Your Tastiest Bowl' contest highlighted fun and interesting ways to enjoy your favorite food while making it more nutritious.

Chef Khanna gave the 14 finalists a surprise bowl of ingredients and 30 minutes to prepare their tastiest bowls. Of the 14, he selected the top three dishes that took the contestants to the final round. Putting their culinary skills through a tougher test, he then gave the contestants some complex, must-use ingredients to prepare their final dish with.
