New Delhi [India], Nov5 (ANI): The Norwegian Seafood Council continues to expand its reach in India. This time it teamed up with the Sweden & Norwegian missions to cater to a bigger group of Nordic consumers of Salmon.

The Consulate General of Sweden, Swedish Chamber of Commerce in India (SCCI) & Royal Norwegian Consulate-General, Mumbai recently hosted a Nobel memorial dinner to celebrate the annual Nobel Prize announcements in Stockholm, Sweden and also create awareness about the rich and diverse culinary heritage of the region.

Therefore, it was not just restricted to the traditional Swedish cuisines but the event introduced flavors served by the Norwegian Seafood Council officially to the business community.

The Guests enjoyed an exquisite banquet featuring seafood from Norway for the occasion with the likes of Salmon and pickled herring to give the diners a delicious touch of Norwegian flavor. More than 85 invitees of the Nordic business community gathered to enjoy the seafood buffet that was prepared by the Swedish chefs.

Yogi Shergil, Director, Norwegian Seafood council drew a lot of attention and awareness towards the presence of NSC in Mumbai and their inclination to collaborate with the Nordic companies to cater seafood at their events and nurture the consumer base in India.

The surprise element was when the guest were charmed with an Indian version of Norwegian Salmon recipe booklets distributed amongst them, to help suit flavors of every Indian household and further explore Norwegian delicacies.

The initiative from the Norwegian Seafood Council aimed to capture the attention of exclusive consumers of Norwegian Seafood in Indo-Nordic Community, and is assessed to be on an upswing. (ANI)
