Mumbai to host biggest culinary, mixology competition

Mumbai [India], Sept.23 (ANI-Newsvoir): To showcase the most delectable variety of fruits and nuts from America, US Premium Agricultural Products will have a prominent presence at the upcoming Restaurant & Catering Show (RECA), Mumbai, from 28th-30th September at the World Trade Center, Mumbai.

The event will host Mumbai's biggest Culinary and Mixology Competition to highlight the usage and versatility of premium products like US Cranberries, Washington Apples, USA Pears, California Walnuts and US Pecans as the main ingredient.The competition will be supported by Western Indian Culinary Association and Hospitality First. The competition will feature star hotel chefs and mixologists showcasing their exemplary skills. India's renowned mixologist, Shatbhi Basu would be conducting the mixology competition with US Premium Ag. Products.

Talking about the initiative, Mr. Keith Sunderlal, India representative, US Cranberry Marketing Committee, said, "We are thrilled to be associated with one of India's largest professional trade shows in the restaurant and catering industry. Our objective for the campaign is to expand awareness and knowledge of the availability, versatility and utilization techniques of US Cranberries, Washington Apples, USA Pears, California Walnuts, and US Pecans in India. The Cranberry Marketing Committee (CMC) USA is focused on promoting the use and consumption of cranberries worldwide. The CMC was established as a Federal Marketing Order in 1962 to ensure a stable, orderly supply of good quality product. The Marketing Order has been amended several times since its inception to further the CMC's ability to expand market development projects in domestic and international markets. Currently, CMC conducts generic promotion activities in the United States, China, India, Mexico, Pan-Europe and South Korea.

The Restaurant and Catering Show is the biggest and the only event in India exclusively serving the restaurant and foodservice industry. This is a must-attend event for anyone involved in the restaurant, foodservice or hospitality industry with a chance to network with Independent Restaurant Owners, Quick Serve Establishment Operators, Caterers, Chefs, and others from across all segments and concepts, plus bars, nightclubs, hospitals, hotels and commercial foodservice operations. This very successful show has seen an 80%+ repeat participation and registered a consistent growth rate of 30% y-o-y. Last year, this show had 150+ exhibitors with over 300 brands and more than 7,000 focused trade visitors.
