GST will revolutionize Indian tax system: BJP

Mumbai (Maharashtra), Aug 2 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday vouched for the passage of the Goods and Services Tax Bill and said that the tax reform will act like as a catalyst in the development process of the nation.

Asserting that GST will help India's economy strengthen, the BJP said that the economic bill will bring revolution in the tax system of our nation.

"All political parties should support the GST Bill as it will act as a catalyst in the development process of the nation. GST will bring a revolutionary change in the Tax system of our nation. And the soon we pass this bill it will be good for the economy of the nation," said BJP leader Prem Shukla.

With the Central Government likely to introduce the Goods and Services Tax ( GST) Bill in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, most of the political parties have virtually given their consent to it, though with riders.(ANI)

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], June 23 (ANI): Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday said that he was deeply disturbed by the brutal act in which Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) Mohammed Ayub Pandith was lynched to death by a mob, adding he was not present inside the mosque at the time of the incident.
