India for strengthening culture of cooperation to combat trans-national challenges: Swaraj

Singapore, Sept. 1 (ANI): Addressing the Indian Ocean Conference through video conferencing External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday said India is focusing on developing an architecture that strengthens culture of cooperation to effectively combat trans-national challenges.

"We are focusing on developing an architecture that strengthens culture of cooperation to effectively combat trans-national challenges," she said.

The External Affairs Minister joined was also present at the conference through video conferencing.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari echoed the view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Blue Economy.

"Prime Minister's vision of Blue Economy is important for our nation. Under Sagarmala Project Prime Minister Narendra Modi has selected 173 projects with huge investment of 60 Billion dollars by 2020," Gadkari said.

Swaraj said, Minister of state for External affairs MJ Akbar emphasized on the importance of sea. (ANI)
