Poonch encounter: Three-day gunbattle ends, four terrorists neutralized

Srinagar [India], Sept. 13 (ANI): The three-day encounter came to an end in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir today, as security forces successfully neutralised all four terrorists in a surgical operation.

The terrorists had taken refuge in two building and were responding to the fire from the Indian Army and the JK Police.

Two terrorists were killed today, adding to the two who were neutralised yesterday and two security forces personnel were also injured in the gun battle yesterday

Sanitization operations are being carried out to ensure that no untoward elements in still present in the area.

One Under Barrel Grenade, four AK 47 and 16 magazines have been recovered from them.

Apprehending the presence of some more militants in under construction building of Mini secretariat, military operation was resumed yesterday morning.

Three militants were killed while a police man had lost life in encounter on Sunday.

Heavy intermittent exchange of fire was reported throughout the day yesterday and last night. (ANI)
