United India will isolate Pakistan internationally: BJP on Uri attack

Mumbai [India], Sept. 21 ANI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday said India stands united in isolating Pakistan and declaring it a terror community and a terror state.

Asserting that now even the international community is also backing New Delhi and raising the Uri attack matter globally, BJP leader Shaina NC said the Centre will avenge the Uri attack in a'one jaw for a tooth' manner.

"Our Prime Minister has said clearly that the Uri attack will be a jaw for a tooth. It is important to understand that every life lost is a life of an Indian and India stands united in isolating Pakistan and declaring Pakistan a terror community a terror state," she said.

"The international world community stands united with Indian in solidarity at this time of the Uri attack, and more importantly, it is the international world community that has raised this issue repeatedly," she added.

Japan and Russia on Monday condemned the terror strike on an Indian Army camp at Uri in Baramulla district that claimed lives of at least 18 soldiers, and offered their condolences to the victims' families.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, in an official statement quoting Foreign Press Secretary Yasuhisa Kawamura, said, "The Government of Japan strongly condemns the terrorist attack on the Indian Base in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir, and extends its sincere condolences to those who lost their lives and their bereaved families, and expresses its heartfelt sympathy to those who were injured."

Asserting that Japan condemns terrorism in all forms regardless of its purposes, the statement strongly reiterates that "no act of terrorism can be justified".

The Russian Foreign Ministry in a statement said, "We strongly condemn the terrorist attack on an army base in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri in the early hours of September 18, which killed 17 (18 actually) and injured 30 service personnel. We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and wish a rapid recovery to all those injured

After giving an assurance of going after the perpetrators of the deadly Uri attack, Prime Minister Modi earlier this week gave the green signal to diplomatically isolate Pakistan at every international grouping.

India is to present all actionable evidence against Pakistan if required at international bodies. (ANI)
