Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Oct. 3 (ANI
): Disappointed with the administration, several home guards staged a protest in the city by boycotting their work over the weekend, after the administration failed to raise their basic salaries despite a high court order to do so.
The protest was carried out under the guidance of District Home Guard Administrator Rajendra Singh. A large number of home guards gathered at the Ambedikar Park in the Civil Lines areas and raised the slogan of 'Home guard Jindabad'.
Not only this, the protestors also shamed all home guards going for their duties to wear bangles for not participating in the protest.
"We are boycotting duty and shaming people who are going to work. We are telling them to stand together with us but they are not listening to us," said Urmila Agarwal a protestor.
One of the protestors said they will start a "Jail Bharo" agitation from October 5 if they demands are not met.(ANI
