Centre to completely seal India-Pak boundary

Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) [India], Oct 7 (ANI): In the wake of the escalating tension at the border, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that his ministry has a target to completely seal the India-Pakistan boundary by December 2018.

Singh, who chaired a high-level meeting here on border security, said that the government has also come up with a new concept called Border Security Grid to ensure the nation's safety.

"We called this meeting in the wake of a target set by the Union Home Ministry to completely seal India- Pakistan border by December 2018. The action plan in this regard is time bound. Proper monitoring will be done periodically, monthly and quarterly," said Singh

"Monitoring will be done at MHA level, BSF level and chief secretary level. We will start a new concept called Border Security Grid. Nation's security will never be compromised," he added. (ANI)
