New Delhi, Aug 1 (ANI
): After recording more than five lakh food orders from major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Kolkata, TravelKhana.com announced its expansion in the Southern India region with 20 new stations.
The online food ordering platform now has over 200 stations on its ever-expanding network in the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Based on the concept of virtual QSR, TravelKhana records a large number of its orders through its mobile app. With its expansion into Southern India, travelers in the region can now download the TravelKhana app on their mobile phones and access it in an offline mode with an assurance that their transactions will be completed within 30 seconds.
TravelKhana will detect the forthcoming train trips to railway stations like Belgaum, Chennai Central, Ernakulam town, Gunatakal Junction amongst others to offer quick access to trip-related information and will facilitate the customers in booking their favorite food for their journey.
"TravelKhana has garnered a niche market and acts as a preferred food distributor that offers immense choice to its consumers. By expanding our network in the southern part of the country, we now aim to tap maximum travelers on these routes and offer extensive cuisine choices to them, ensuring a delightful travel experience," said Co-Founder and CEO TravelKhana, Pushpinder Singh.
TravelKhana which has integrated its services with IRCTC is making it possible for travelers to get access to lip-smacking fare prepared by various restaurants en route on their journey. All the restaurants are selected and verified by TravelKhana.com personnel across various stations.
The entire process is managed by a completely automated workflow that sends real-time reminders to passengers as well as restaurants so that the entire process can take place in a seamless and swift manner.
Based out of Delhi, TravelKhana
.com was launched in October 2012 by first-time entrepreneur and passionate traveler Pushpinder Singh who felt that once a passenger buys the train tickets, there is very little that technology has to offer to cater to his/her gastronomic needs.
The automated platform tracks trains in real time across India and ensures that fresh food is delivered to the passenger on time. The restaurant or food joint is chosen as per stringent quality parameters.
