Delegation from Gujarat to meet leading companies, senior govt. officials in Canada, US

New Delhi [India], Sept. 7 (ANI-Business Wire India): To promote Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, the Government of Gujarat, is organizing a series of Vibrant Gujarat Promotional Road Shows in Canada and the United States of America.

The Vibrant Gujarat delegation would be visiting both the countries from 6th September to 16th September, 2016.

The road shows are aimed to promote Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit - 2017 and will assist in attracting investment, business and technology to Gujarat from various companies of Canada, United States of America and India.

Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit was started in 2003 by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi and the current Prime Minister of India.

So far, there have been seven editions of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit and the flagship event will enter its 8th edition. The Summit will be organized from 10-13 January, 2017 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.

The summit will bring together Heads of States, Governments, leaders from the corporate world, senior policy makers, heads of international institutions and academia from around the world to further the cause of development in Gujarat.

The Vibrant Gujarat road show is aimed to strengthen the economic and social ties between the countries and to promote Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017. With the theme of "Gujarat - Connecting India to World", the road show will feature various activities involving leading companies, industry associations and government officials of Canada and United States of America.

The delegates will discuss some of the investor-friendly policies, the robust industrial ecosystem and single window clearance procedures that Gujarat offers, making it one of the most sought after investment destinations, globally. Gujarat was ranked number 1 in "Ease of Doing Business" in 2015 among all states of India in a joint study by the Government of India and World Bank.

During the visit, the delegation would meet prominent business executives including Fortune 500 companies CEOs and senior Government officials and various other stakeholders. The delegation will hold roadshows in all the cities and also will have one-to-one meeting with the prominent CEOs of some of the Fortune 500 companies.
