CA Technologies makes built-to-scale agile platform more powerful and easier to use

Updated: Nov 17, 2016 12:28 IST

New Delhi [India], Nov 17 (ANI-NewsVoir): CA Technologies unveiled the latest release of CA Agile Central, a leading SaaS platform purpose-built to scale agile practices. New features added to the solution enable teams to execute on strategy faster, accelerating agility across the enterprise to lessen the time to customer value.

Research shows that adoption of advanced agile practices (scaling agile or transforming the whole organization) drives better results, including a 33 percent increase in business impact in areas like agility, growth, customer focus and operational efficiency.

Designed to coordinate work across multiple teams and programs for advanced agile practices, CA Agile Central now features new capabilities that empower users to quickly access the information most relevant to their day to day work, while maintaining the core ability to view and align with the organization's broader strategy. Announced today, personal navigation and quick detail put the power of the platform in the hands of each user to speed the adoption and use of agile in the enterprise.

"The key to success in a scaled agile environment is empowered employees. CA offers the tools they need to work quickly and efficiently, while knowing that their work is aligned with overall business strategy," said Angela Tucci, General Manager, Agile Management, CA Technologies.

"Too often, companies are forced to choose between an enterprise-ready Agile platform or lightweight tools that focus on team-level functionality. Now companies don't have to give up power for ease-of-use. With CA Agile Central, they can have both."

CA Agile Central provides a hub for teams to collaboratively plan, prioritize and track work in a synchronized cadence. Personal Navigation shortens the path between the user and work to be completed by making the most frequently accessed pages easy to find and use - moving rarely used pages to the background.

Creating even more efficiency in how users access and use the most important information that supports their work, the new Quick Detail feature lets users update all relevant details of work items in context without leaving the page they are working on. They can customize which fields matter most to them and their team for easy access.

"Whether it's pulling up details during our weekly prioritization meeting or managing day-to-day work, Personal Navigation and Quick Details make it easier for our teams to access and view the most important information to the task-at-hand," said Jen Provance, Release Train Engineer, Geospatial Cloud Services, DigitalGlobe. "I host a number of meetings across my release train, as well as with key stakeholders. It has been helpful to be able to simply click on the item we're discussing, and see the subset of information without leaving the context of the page. More often than not, I'm able to answer questions just from the Quick Detail view."

Additional new features in CA Agile Central include

Advanced Filtering and Saved Views: Easily find exactly what's needed with quick filters and powerful advanced filters. Users can also save and share filters for easy access later.

Webhooks: Build lightweight integrations to be triggered when data changes in CA Agile Central. Users get data in real time as it changes, like an automated instant update, to keep projects across teams on track.

Subscription App Catalog: Redefining customization in CA Agile Central, users can add custom apps to gain business insight reporting and workflow automation.

CA Agile Central gives companies the ability to sense, react and adapt to market shifts and operational needs, resulting in an agility advantage over their competitors. (ANI-NewsVoir)
