): The local officials in Afghanistan
's Koot district of eastern Nangarhar province have said that majority of Daesh fighters operating in the area are Pakistani nationals under the command of Pakistan's Intelligence Service (ISI).
According to them, the other insurgents in the region are from Arab countries, Russia, Tajikistan and Chechnya, reports Tolo News.
Reports suggest that Daesh militants have set ablaze dozens of homes in Koot and more than 500 families have so far been evacuated from their native areas to escape their repression.
More than 150 Daesh fighters
are currently fighting 600 government troops in the area.
Local officials also said that almost 30 percent of Koot district is currently under the control of Daesh. The people in the area, however, still look to the future and a peaceful life. (ANI
