): A suicide attack on a girls' school in Kabul has been foiled by the National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Tuesday.
The security forces shot and wounded the would-be suicide bomber, who is a militant of the Haqqani network, reports Tolo News.
The plan had been to bomb a girls' school in Chahar Asiab district of Kabul
The NDS said in a statement that the shooting incident occurred in Khoshi district of central Logar province, where the would-be bomber, Bakhtullah, had plotted the attack.
According to the NDS, Bakhtullah confessed to the plot during preliminary investigations and said he had been appointed by Rehan, a commander of Haqqani network
, to carry out the bombing.
He further said that he had undergone training and had been given his suicide vest by Panjabis in Miranshah in Peshawar, Pakistan. (ANI
