17 killed in vehicle pile up in north China

Taiyuan [Japan], Nov. 22 (ANI): 17 people have been killed and 37 others wounded after 56 vehicles piled up due to snow and rainy weather on the Beijing-Kunming Expressway in north China's Shanxi Province on Monday.

The Xinhua news agency quoted local authorities as saying that the injured people are in stable condition after treatment.

Rescue operation was carried out by police, firefighters, doctors and officials. (ANI)
