Pakistani Kashmiris to protest outside UNGA during Sushma Swaraj's address

Karachi [Pakistan], Sept. 20 (ANI): Kashmiris from Pakistan will stage a forceful protest demonstration outside the United Nations Building in New York on September 26 when Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj would address the 71st United Nations General Assembly.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) president in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry made this announcement at a press conference in Islamabad, reports the Dawn.

Mahmood said the participants would be carrying Kashmiri flags and would express complete solidarity with their "Kashmiri brethren" on the Indian side, adding the permission for the protest demonstration had already been sought.

He claimed the demonstration would be even bigger than the million march held by Kashmiris in New York last year.

Protest rallies would also be organised in several European cities, including London, Brussels, Paris and The Hague, on the same day.

Mahmood also said they are trying to stage a demonstration outside the Indian High Commission in Canada or the Canadian Parliament.

According to sources, India would raise the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri region, in which 18 Indian Army soldiers lost their lives and highlight Pakistan's alleged involvement at the 71st UNGA.

According to sources, Sushma Swaraj will strongly emphasise on Pakistan's involvement in her speech on September 26.

Following the terror strike on the Army base in Uri, India lashed out at Pakistan, holding it responsible for the attack. Branding Pakistan a 'terrorist state' and stating that it should be identified and isolated as such, Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said there were definite and conclusive indications that the perpetrators of the Uri attack were highly trained, heavily armed and specially equipped.
