): Baloch Republican Party
(BRP) chief Brahamdagh Bugti on Thursday said the raising of Kashmir issue by Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and not mentioning the atrocities committed in Balochistan shows Islamabad's hypocrisy.
"He (Nawaz Sharif) just read out whatever he was given. He doesn't even have permission to talk in front of the army. Taking up only the Kashmir issue and not discussing Balochistan at the UNGA shows their hypocrisy. What are they doing in Afghanistan and Bangladesh? Every neighbour is tired of them," Bugti told ANI
He emphasised that Pakistan should be declared as a "terrorist state" by the entire world, adding that their army should be blacklisted and should not be provided support by any country.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Vikas Swarup yesterday said Sharif's glorifying Wani in his UNGA address shows Pakistan's continued connection with terrorism.
Addressing the 71st UNGA in New York, Sharif termed terrorists Burhan Wani, who was killed by the Indian security forces in an encounter, "a young leader", who has become the "face of the Kashmiri movement".
When asked about his application to the Indian Government for seeking political asylum, Bugti said he was expecting positive response from India in this regard.
Early this week, Bugti along with Mehran Marri, visited the Indian consulate in Geneva to inquire about the process of seeking asylum in India.
"We met officials and the discussion has been very fruitful. We discussed about the political asylum and other issues. I hope everything will go well," Bugti told ANI
, adding that it would be immature to talk about it now. (ANI
