Afghanistan: ISIS claims killing two American soldiers

Kabul [Afghanistan], July 9 (ANI): Islamic State's offshoot in Khorasan province of Afghanistan has claimed killing two American soldiers and 13 Afghans in an attack to repulse their military advance in Nangarhar province, reports SITE Intelligence Group.

This comes as yesterday Nangarhar provincial police commandment in a statement said that a total of thirty two militants were killed or wounded in drone strikes.

The statement further added that the first airstrike was carried out in the vicinity of Awghiz area of Haska Mina district, leaving at least fourteen militants dead and eleven more wounded, all belonging to the ISIS.

Meanwhile today, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) of Afghanistan claimed to killing at least five key ISIS insurgents in an Afghan air force operation in northern Jawzjan province.

The security situation in Jawzjan province has started to deteriorate during the recent years with the rampant insurgency led both the Taliban and ISIS militants, reports Khaama Press. (ANI)
