Washington D.C [USA], Sept. 10 (ANI): 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' has once again given the platform for Hollywood stars to bring out the inner child in them.

Most recent celebrity at the show turned out to be Tom Hanks, who voice-acted for the character of Woody in 'Toy Story' and knowing that Ellen DeGeneres has also dabbled as Dory in the sequel, 'Finding Dory', he challenged the talk show host to what he called a " Pixar-off," reports E! Online.

The 60-year-old American actor asked the show's audience to close their eyes and "imagine they're in Pixar land."

He then got right down to voicing the famous scene where Woody is always looking for his missing hat in the 'Toy Story' franchise.

In the conversation that followed next, Ellen DeGeneres, the host of the show revives the hasty memory-impaired fish named Dory, nonsensically inviting Woody for a swim but later asking continuously who he is and where he had come from.

Both disclosed the difficult moments lending their voices for the respective roles.

The Oscar winner said that he had to record "92 versions of the same line."

" Woody is clenched all the time. My diaphragm is always exhausted after those 4-hour, 5-hour recording sessions," the actor added.

Meanwhile, the American host often found the work "exhausting" as "I'm always hyperventilating because Dory's always either left behind... I'm always out of breath."

'Toy Story 4', directed by John Lasseter and Josh Cooley, comes to theaters in 2018. (ANI)
