Leonardo DiCaprio foundation to give $15.6m to conserve environment

Johannesburg, July 15 (ANI): Leonardo DiCaprio has long been a champion for environmental causes, now he has announced 15.6 million dollars in grants for conservation efforts.

Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which boasts donations of more than 59 million dollars since it was founded in 1998, claims it to be the largest series of donations, reports Channel24.

'The Revenant' actor has lobbied world leaders about climate change, protecting wildlife and more.

In a recently statement released, the Oscar-winning actor said he was increasing the level of grants "to help solve some of the world's most pressing environmental challenges." (ANI)
