"Excited" to play "relaxed happy normal character" in 'OK Jaanu': Aditya Roy Kapur

Updated: Nov 05, 2016 12:19 IST
New Delhi [India], Nov. 5 (ANI): After much intense character in his last flick 'Fitoor,' Aidtya Roy Kapur will now be seen portraying a guy-next-door in his next.

Recently opening up about his role in upcoming flick ‘OK Jaanu,’ the 30-year-old actor said, he is very excited to play a relaxed guy after a long time.

“After a while I am doing a relaxed happy normal character so very excited,” he said told media when he was spotted at the screening of 'Raakh.'

“’OK Jaanu’ is releasing in January, produced by Dharma Productions, directed by Shaad Ali (blushes) and me,” he added.

The ‘Aashiqui 2’ star was also asked about the ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ controversy regarding a comment on Mohammad Rafi in the movie.

“Well, I would just say that, if anyone made fun of me, not to say that I am Mohammad Rafi, I would take it lightly. We should have a sense of humour, it is all said in fun,” Aditya said.

In a particular scene in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, lead actress Anushka Sharma jocularly says, “Mohammed Rafi gaate nahi, rote the.”

This apparently did not go down well with the late singer’s son Shahid Rafi, who now expects a public apology from the Dharma Productions head honcho.

Other than 'Ok Jaanu' that also stars his 'Aashiqui 2' co-star Shraddha Kapoor, the actor will be seen in SRK-Alia starrer 'Dear Zindagi.'

OK Jaanu’ is slated to hit the theatres in January next year. (ANI)
