Bollywood mourns as Om Puri breathed his last

New Delhi [India], Jan. 6 (ANI): As soon as the news of veteran actor Om Puri's sudden demise did the rounds, Bollywood went under grief.

Reportedly, the veteran actor passed away at the age of 66, after a severe cardiac arrest, at his residence, this morning.

The celebs took to their Twitter handles to share their thoughts on the same:

"Solid actor....Solid filmography....immense talent.... #RIPOmPuri ....cinema has truly lost a brilliant artist...." wrote Karan Johar.

"Sad to hear about the passing away of the very talented Om Puri, my co-actor in many films...heartfelt condolences to the family. #RIP," wrote Akshay Kumar.

Priyanka Chopra tweeted, "The end of an era .... The legacy lives on.. RIP #OmPuri."

Ace actor Kamal Haasan tweeted, "So long Omji. Prided myself on being his friend peer & admirer. Who dare say my Om Puri is no more ? He lives through his work."

"RIP Om Puri. We have lost one of our finest. A talent, A Voice, A Spirit. Will miss you Puri Saab," tweeted Boman Irani.

"Goodbye Om! A part of me goes with you today. How can I ever forget those passionate nights we spent together talking about cinema & life ?" wrote Mahesh Bhatt.

"Such an indispensable loss to our world...too big for any words. Deeply, deeply saddened . #RIPOmPuri," tweeted Nimrat Kaur.

"Shocked beyond words to learn that #OmPuri ji is no more. Will miss you sir. Condolences to the family. RIP #HugeLoss," wrote Riteish Deshmukh.

Rishi Kapoor tweeted, "R I P. Will miss you Om!"

"It's a sad day for cinema ... we just lost one of our greats... gone but will never be forgotten ... #RIPOmPuri Saab ..." wrote Neha Dhupia.

Actor Anupem Kher took to his Twitter handle to write, "I have known #OmPuri for d last 43yrs. For me he'll always b a great actor, a kind & generous man. And that is how world shud remember him."

"Seeing him lying on his bed looking so calm can't believe that one of our greatest actors #OmPuri is no more. Deeply saddened & shocked," he added.

Sonu Sood wrote, "Om ji,u were the finest. Will miss u always.Thank u so much for giving me n tthe entire world such fond memories..love u sir. #RipOmpuri sir"

"Will miss you sir #OmPuri," tweeted filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar.

Shoojit Sircar too expressed his grief and tweeted, "RIP Om puri .. interactions with you were always full of life.. you were one of the finest artist we are proud of.."

"Will miss you Omji ..will miss you..will miss you.#Ompuri," wrote Sunny Deol.

Geeta Basra tweeted, "So saddened and shocked to hear of Om Puri jis passing! A houseful of talent.. versatile and so many great films he's left behind! #rip" (ANI)
