Mercedes gushes over `unbeatable` Hamilton post German GP victory

Johannesburg, Aug.3 (ANI): Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has heaped praise on reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton, describing him as `unbeatable' after the Briton driver won his sixth race of the season at the German Grand Prix.

The three-time world champion continued his dominant run as he saw off Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo to seal his 49th career victory in the team's home race and to extend his championship lead over Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg to 19 points.

Hamilton was trailing Rosberg by 43 points just two months ago, but he bounced back in style to win six of the last seven races to head into the summer break with a firm grip of the championship.

Considering Hamilton's record as `impressive`, Wolff said that he had shown great speed in Germany and managed to recover all those points that he had lost, Sport24 reported.

Reacting to the Mercedes boss' comments, the 31-year-old driver said that he never felt as invincible, but admitted that he would feel the same when he would be at his strongest.

Hamilton also became the first driver to win four consecutive races in a calendar month after a victory in Austria, Silverstone, Hungary and Germany. (ANI)
