'Largest online learning community' Gradeup marks its presence in PlayStore

Updated: Oct 15, 2016 18:17 IST

New Delhi [India], Oct, 15 (ANI): With an aim to provide better content for aspirants preparing for competitive exams such as CAT, IBPS and other government exams, educational app GradeUP has marked its presence in the ever competitive education industry.

The company believes in making learning more democratic for students, who can access the best of content at any time from the comfort of their homes and can benchmark themselves, practice at their own pace and ask doubts from its mentors.

The app is free of cost and charges the students on its web-based platform for full length test series.

"We are currently positioned as a learning platform for test prep powered by a community of mentors and students/aspirants. Students get guidance from mentors in form of study material or personalized doubt clearing. They assess themselves through practice quizzes and tests against thousands of other students, and they also help each other by sharing relevant resources and answering each other's doubts," CEO and Co-founder of Gradeup, Shobhit Bhatnagar, told ANI in an exclusive interview.

The app helps the students get guidance from mentors in the form of study materials or personalized doubt clearing as they have direct access to practicing quizzes and tests against thousands of other students.

Also, the students can help each other by sharing relevant resources and answering each other's doubts.

The app has crossed over 1.6 million downloads and is rated 4.6 in the Google Playstore.

"Our vision is to become the largest and most engaged community of students in India and we are steadily moving towards it. With the growth we are witnessing, we hope to cross three million downloads by the end of March 2017," added Bhatnagar.

Talking about their stiff competition in the industry, Bhatnagar said that several students, who joined this platform, have gained significantly in their career.

"Our app is already downloaded by over 1.6 million students and the user base is steadily growing," he added.

Additionally, the start-up is investing a lot of efforts into leveraging the massive amount of data that is generated on their platform to enhance the community's learning experience.

GradeUP is presently planning to cover all leading exams in the country by the end of March 2017. In the days to come, it intends to extend its platform to cater to school education.

The start-up is also mulling to tie up with teachers and content providers to help them reach millions of students on their platform. (ANI)
