'Alcohol bra' is latest invention used by teens to get drunk at prom

London, May 4 (ANI): Teenagers attending prom resort to various innovative tactics like using 'alcohol bra' and ' flask sandal' for getting drunk during the party, a report has said.

The ingenious ways by which, the high school seniors sneak alcohol into the end of school dances have been detailed as part of a report about underage drink driving in Montgomery County, Maryland where tactics are surprisingly cunning.

According to the WUSA report, among the devices known to be used among boys and girls of Montgomery County and no doubt beyond, is the most recent addition: the alcohol bra.

"[It] actually has little compartments in it and there's a straw down the strap," the Daily Mail quoted officer William Morrison as explaining, while showing a picture of the device to a room full of speechless car hire employees.

And this isn't the only such invention designed to help underage revellers liven up the party atmosphere.

Sandals with a flask slotted into the sole were also a fad popular among the teens.

One man who has the first hand experience of seeing the innovative tricks being used is On The Town Limo owner, Len Joseph.

"We do make all the backpacks, purses and everything go in the trunk, no matter what,' he assured the reporter, but he can still tell a tale or two about the ways in which he has caught his customers trying to cheat the system," Joseph said.

Joseph recalled one prom experience when he was asked to make a quick stop at a local convenience store .

Though he thought it was an odd request seeing as the limo was stocked ceiling-high with soda and water, he obliged.

When the boys returned with two huge bags of Snapple, none of which popped when the lids were opened the way they usually do, Joseph cottoned on.

"I said, "hey, you guys got Snapple? Pass one of those up for old Mr. Len, that's great. Great stuff." Well you could see the look go over every face," he said.

Caught red handed with bottles that had been emptied by a store clerk friend and refilled with booze, the limo driver took the children back to their parents' house.

"They're very creative. Very creative," he said.

And perhaps slightly obsessed too.

Officer Morrison recalled a run-in with a driver last year who asked him: '"Hey, do you mind talking to this kid? He's got the mintiest fresh breath you've ever seen!" And sure enough, what he was actually doing was drinking Scope.'

Scope is a dental mouthwash that contains 40 percent alcohol.

But Joseph is determined that no alcohol-related funny business will happen in his cars.

"We just can't have it. Parents put their trust in us and we have to bring them back the same way we found them," he added. (ANI)
