Kuala Lumpur, June 14 (ANI): Vaginoplasty is fast gaining popularity among women professionals in Singapore with many even willing to spend between RM10,000 to RM60,000 to get it done.

Sin Chew Daily quoted a 42-year-old woman named Ho as saying that she had undergone the procedure to revive her sex life.

Ho described the surgery as a success and said it had opened up "a whole new world."

Vaginoplasty is reconstructive plastic surgery undertaken to correct defects and deformities in a woman's private parts, the Star Online reported.

Labiaplasty is the most common procedure usually done to reduce the size of the skin folds surrounding a woman's private parts.

Previously, labiaplasty was usually performed by obstetricians and gynaecologists but now many women prefer going to cosmetic surgeons as they view the surgery as a cosmetic procedure.

Cosmetic surgeon Dr Chua Jun Jin said that most of those opting for the procedure were professionals, both single and married.

He also said that the number of women who underwent labiaplasty in the United States, Britain and Australia had increased over the past 15 years. (ANI)
