California restaurant chain introduces 100pc bacon burger

New York, July 7 (ANI): For those who are not satisfied with the regular bacon cheese burgers, a small chain in California has come up with the 'merica' burger, which is made of 100 percent ground bacon.

The burger, which is the brainchild of Slater's 50/50 founder Scott Slater, is topped with a sunny side up egg, bacon island dressing, bacon cheddar cheese and a slice of bacon.

Customers have been ordering July's burger of the month in droves.

"People are loving it," the New York Daily News quoted spokesman Justin Frank as syaing.

"They love the name and they love celebrating Fourth of July by eating an American bacon burger," he said.

Slater intially came up with a burger that is 50 percent ground beef and 50 percent ground bacon that gave the chain it's name.

But the original concept for the chain comes from the idea of a burger made entirely out of bacon, says spokeswoman Erika Diprofio. Slater wanted to settle a bet on whether an all-bacon burger was possible. (ANI)
