3 in 4 men like women with make-up
Aug 11, 12:55 pmLondon, August 11 (ANI): 73 percent of men prefer their partner with make-up on, with smokey eyes being their favourite look, a survey has revealed.
While the vast majority of men said that they preferred women to wear make-up at all times, 21 percent admitted that they only liked their ladies to be dolled up for events and occasions, while a mere 6 percent preferred the natural look.
The poll, carried out by online beauty retailer Escentual.com, revealed that men most preferred the smokey eye look, which is often seen on celebrities like Mila Kunis, Kate Moss and the Duchess of Cambridge.
The look was voted top because it was “timeless” and made a lady look “sexy and mysterious.”
It was followed by lip colour and even skin tone in the survey of 1000 men.
Emma Leslie, beauty editor from Escentual.com, said that the findings did not come as a shock to her.
“It doesn’t surprise me that men prefer their partners with make up on,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
“There’s nothing more sexy than a confident woman, and make-up - even if just a bit of mascara or cover-up - can make a woman feel so much more empowered,” she said.
The results will also not come as a surprise to singer Gwen Stefani, who is famous for her bright red lips.
She told ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ that her husband Gavin Rossdale loved her heavily made-up look.
“He likes it when I’m wearing make-up,” she said,
She added that the day she was interviewed by the magazine she had, “already put my make-up on twice today: I put it on to take my kid to school, and then I went home, washed my face, and put it on again to have lunch. (ANI)
