BJP seeks CBI probe into firms of Mayawati's brother

Lucknow, Jan 25 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sought a thorough inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to clarify and confirm the source of funding various companies floated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati's brother Kumar.

Senior BJP leader Kirit Somaiya, who often functions as the spokesperson of the outfit, alleged that Anand Kumar has registered 300 companies. And all this took place during the five years of Mayawati's rule since 2007 .

"We demands that full team of CBI should be employed to investigate these 300 companies Kumar and bank accounts of these companies should be frozen," Somaiya told reporters here.

Kumar's wealth has multiplied a thousand times within just a couple of years, Somaiya said.

He also alleged that Kumar had promoted two dozens companies over the past six months and the latest one happens to be a firm named Front Age Investment Private Limited registered on January 13 this year. .

"On 13 January 2012 Anand Kumar, we talk about him every week, registered this company. He has registered 12 companies in three months and two dozens companies over the past six months," Somaiya said. (ANI)
