Maoists release one Italian hostage, media reports

Bhubaneshwar, Mar 25 (ANI): News channels are reporting that the Maoists have released one of the two Italians who were kidnapped eleven days ago in Orissa's Koraput District.

According to television channel reports, the Maoists released Claudio Colangelo due to his ailing health.

However, the state government authorities are yet to confirm the news.

The NDTV channel said Colangelo has expressed hope the that the Maoists would release fellow Italian Bosusco Paolo

Earlier in the day, Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik presided over an emergency meeting to discuss the ongoing hostage crises in the state. (ANI)
