Man kills teen daughter in Indore for having affair with boy of another caste

Indore, April 29 (ANI): A man reportedly killed his 19-year-old daughter in Indore for having an affair with a boy from another caste.

Shivnarayan Verma, 45, a resident of Pardeshipura area, strangled his daughter Jyoti on Saturday night, police said on Sunday.

Verma is now in police custody after confessing to the murder.

The girl was in love with a boy who lived near her house and wanted to marry him, but Verma was against it as the boy was from another caste.

Jyoti had decided to elope Saturday night, but her furious father strangled her on learning about her plan. (ANI)
