Kannada writer Y. Avanindranath Rao awarded B.M.Shri. Pratishtana Literary Prize

New Delhi, May 1 (ANI): Kannada writer and Central Secretariat Library officer Y. Avanindranath Rao was recently awared the RASA Sahitya Endowment Prize - 2011.

The award was conferred on Rao by the Bangalore-based B.M.Shri.Prathishtana in recognition of his critical essay on the work of former literateur Samethanahalli Rama Rao.

Professor M.H. Krishnaiah, former president of the Karnataka State Sahitya Academy and honorary president of the B.M.Shri.Prathishtana presented the award to Avanindranath Rao.

Professor G.S. Siddhalingaiah, Professor D. Lingaiah, writers S.V. Srinivasa Rao, D.S. Nagabhushan were also present on the occassion. (ANI)

New Delhi, May 20 (ANI): Chinese Premier, Li Keqiang, alluding to recent skirmishes on their Himalayan border, acknowledged on Monday, that there were some problems with good friend India but said that the two Asian giants should take a leaf out of their vast history to resolve all issues peacefully.
