   May 2, 9:51 pm

Pune, May 2(ANI): Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar inaugurated a cricket museum here on Wednesday.

The museum titled 'Blades of Glory' has been built by the city based builder Rohan Pate, who has been collecting cricket memorabilia and other items from cricketers across the globe.

The items in the museum include a golden bat signed by Sir Donald Bradman as well as bats of several other well-known cricket players.

A special section is devoted to Tendulkar that includes several miniature bats signed by him, in addition to his accessories, equipment and clothing.

Pate gathered these items, when he accompanied the Indian cricket team during their tours abroad.

Speaking to media persons, Tendulkar congratulated Pate for his accomplishment and heaped lavish praises for completing the museum.

" It has required a lot of commitment, hard work and being prepared to travel at odd hours and wait outside player's houses. I have just gone upstairs and seen every little thing what he has collected, and it has spun my mind honestly, " he said.

The museum will be open for the public from Monday and will be open twice a week with prior appointment. (ANI)
