Jaganmohan Reddy's wife meets him inside Hyderabad's central prison

   May 30, 7:14 pm

Hyderabad, May 30 (ANI): Bharathi Reddy, the wife of Kadapa MP and YSR Congress Party chief Jaganmohan Reddy, met him inside the central prison on Wednesday after he was sent to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with the disproportionate assets case.

Bharathi Reddy arrived here along with Vijaysai Reddy, a close aide of Jaganmohan Reddy, amid heavy security.

YSR Congress Party leader Prasan Kumar Reddy, who accompanied Bharathi, said that Jaganmohan Reddy's arrest was part of a well-planned conspiracy ahead of the elections.

"The arrest of YSR Congress party chief Jaganmohan Reddy just before the elections has been done to disrupt the election campaign. The corruption cases were under hearing for a very long time but the arrest of Reddy at this point has been intentionally made," said Prasan Kumar Reddy.

"However, his arrest will not make any difference as we have the support of people and we will win the elections," he added.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had earlier on Sunday evening arrested Jagan Mohan Reddy in a disproportionate assets case.

The son of late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy was arrested after the CBI grilled him for the third consecutive day. (ANI)
