Meeting of committee of eminent freedom fighters in Dehradun tomorrow

New Delhi, June 13 (ANI): A meeting of the committee of eminent freedom fighters would be held in Dehradun on Thursday under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Home Affairs Jitendra Singh. Various issues relating to welfare of freedom fighters, including merger of part of dearness relief with basic samman pension, facilities to travel in Duranto and Garib Rath trains, simplification of procedure for transfer of dependent family pension after the death of a samman pensioner, eligibility of additional dependents for family pension are likely to be discussed in the meeting. The committee of eminent freedom fighters was reconstituted by the government on April 4 this year under the chairmanship of Jitendra Singh with the members Lt. (Mrs) M. B. Mehta, D. K. Das, Ramadhar Tiwari, Mandadapu Satyanarayana, Pandurang R. S. Kankolienkar, Krishnaji Dixit Inamdar, S. N. Sharma, Jorawarmal Boda, M.Ramanthan, Dr. Prahlad Prasad Prajapati and member secretary -R.
