Fire engulfs tyre warehouse factory in New Delhi

New Delhi , June18 (ANI): A tyre warehouse factory was engulfed by a fire, destroying property and goods worth millions of rupees here.

No causalities were reported.

Dozens of fire engines were deployed to control the raging fire.

S.S. Tuli, Assistant Regional Fire Officer, said, "I received a call around 1 a.m. and this incident took place in Wazirabad village. The fire engulfed a tyre warehouse factory. Fire is under control and there are no casualties."

Flames of the fire had engulfed the factory before the fire-tenders arrived.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

In most industries across India, fire safety regulations are lax, rarely implemented and not periodically reviewed, which results in the breaking of major fire, resulting in loss of life and material. (ANI)
