Militants surrender in Arunachal Pradesh

Jairampur (Arunachal Pradesh), July 13 (ANI): Six militants belonging to National Socialist Council of Nagalim Khaplang faction, anti talk faction of ULFA and National Democratic Front of Bodoland surrendered before the security forces here recently.The development assumes importance as it is expected to set a precedent for others to follow.Interacting with mediapersons here, Paritosh Pan, Brigadier Commandant, Assam Rifles, informed, "Most of these cadres are disillusioned. One ULFA boy submitted 2.9 kilograms of RDX and everyone has surrendered weapons."The security forces have assured the surrendered cadres of all kind of assistance in their rehabilitation.They were identified as Hokato Sema, Nongya Langching, Limnong Mossang, Panba Wangsu, Bhaben Hazarika and Bijoy Basumatary.In 2011, more than 300 insurgents in Manipur surrendered to the forces.
