Shukla refuses to react to Gavaskar's objection to resumption of Indo-Pak cricket ties

New Delhi, July 16 (ANI): Senior Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) official
Rajiv Shukla said on Monday that there was no need for him to comment on former captain Sunil Gavaskar's objection to India playing Pakistan in a bilateral cricket series.Speaking to media after a BCCI Working Committee meeting here, Shukla said: "Everybody is entitled to their opinion. I would not like to react to individual opinions."Shukla also confirmed that India and Pakistan are set to play three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 matches in December and January.He said the venues for the 50-over games would be Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, while Bengaluru and Ahmedabad will host two T2o internationals.Shukla said, "The BCCI Working Committee has decided to resume cricket ties with Pakistan, and the BCCI will be inviting Pakistan team in third week of December for three ODIs and two T20 games. The nitty-gritties will be decided by the BCCI Chairman N. Srinivasan"The limited overs competition will be held after England's tour of India. The English team is set to leave for home on December 22.Shukla further clarified that the government, including the Home Ministry and the Ministry of External Affairs has no issues with the resumption of bilateral cricket between the neighbours.On the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) opposition to resumption of cricketing ties, Shukla said that the BJP's Aun Jaitley had supported the move.Shukla informed that the resumption of bilateral cricket was a PCB initiative.Bilateral cricket
