Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray to undergo angioplasty

Mumbai, July 20 (ANI): Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray will undergo an angioplasty at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital here today for removal of arterial blockages.

Uddhav,52, reached the hospital in suburban Bandra this morning along with his cousin and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray.

Uddhav had complained of chest pains since last Friday, but it is not known whether he had been on medication prior to his daylong stay in the hospital on Monday.

He is under the care of a team of cardiologists that includes doctors Samuel Mathew, Jalil Parkar, Ajit Menon, Omprakash Jaiswal, Prakash Jindani and Samad Ansari. (ANI)
