Aug 11, 11:09 am
New Delhi, Aug 11 (ANI): After the anti-corruption movement activist Anna Hazare and his team, it is the turn of Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, who is presently sitting on a three-day symbolic fast at the Ramlila Maidan here, to divulge the names of the corrupt politicians in public.Addressing the crowd at the Ramlila ground, which has reportedly thinned on the third day of the fast, Baba Ramdev said that he would reveal the names by the end of the day."We have to tell India as to why it is poor. Who is responsible for your poverty? It is the corrupt people who made you poor. We shall start divulging their names from today evening onwards so that there is no confusion in understanding," said Ramdev.Ramdev also said that once the names are revealed, the tirade against them would spread to every nook and corner of the country."We are giving them a chance till this evening. The words said from here will not be heard merely for one single day. All the addresses of the corrupt people shall be revealed. Now there would be no hindrance at all. Now everyday, in every village, on every road, that roar, that call, shall be heard till the people who are in power are removed," he added.Baba Ramdev had earlier said that his movement would continue for at least 50 years. This is Ramdev's second agitation in New Delhi on the graft issue.
Baba Ramdev's last outing at the Ramlila Maidan, in June last year, saw a midnight police crackdown with authorities claiming that he violated norms agreed upon.He was caught by police, while trying to flee from the protesting venue in a woman's attire. (ANI)
