Assam violence protest turns unruly in Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 11 (ANI): The protest by several Muslim organisations at Mumbai's Azad Maidan against the recent ethnic violence in Assam turned violent on Saturday.

According to TV reports, the protesters set on fire an OB (Outside Broadcast) van of a news channel.

The protest was led by Raza Academy, an organisation working to promote Islamic culture, and supported by other organisations like Sunni Jamaitul Ulma and Jamate Raza-e-Mustafa, reports said.
