MMTC jewellery exhibition in Delhi

   Oct 15, 12:20 pm

New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): Trade and Commerce Minsiter, Anand Sharma inaugurated, on Friday, a jewellery exhibition organized by the government's Mineral and Metal Trading Corporation (MMTC) to boost the sale in this year's Diwali season.

The MMTC, which is the largest bullion importers in the country, displayed its dazzling collection for the visitors.

"Indian jewellery is exquisite. When you look at the craftsmanship, it is truly world class. It is distinct and every state of India has its own stamp and signature," said Anand Sharma.

Gold has edged higher, retreating partially from their previous session's losses, in tandem with overseas markets, though a stronger rupee kept the upside in prices limited.

The demand is likely to gain pace and will peak with Diwali festival slated later in the month.(ANI)
