Mukherjee to review annual performance of public sector insurance firms

New Delhi, June 13 (ANI): Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will review the annual performance of public sector insurance companies today.

His meeting with chief executive officers of these firms will focus to have a business strategy for 2012-13.

A healthy balance between the growth and long-term business sustainability as well as providing accessibility of insurance coverage in unserved areas is expected to be at the centre of the discussions.

Policy renewals and claim settlement as well as grievance redressal mechanism will also be reviewed.

Agriculture insurance to cover farmers who have availed loan facility and those who have not taken it will also be emphasized. (ANI)
