London, July 24 (ANI): Korean-mobile maker Samsung has sold ten million handsets of its latest smartphone Galaxy S3 in less than two months, according to a report.

Galaxy SIII broke the 10 million barrier in less than half the time it took its predecessor, the Galaxy SII, which is the bestselling Android handset so far.

Shin Jong-kyun, the president of Samsung's mobile division, revealed the figures on Sunday, according to the Korean media.

The Galaxy SIII, introduced on May 30, was Samsung's most anticipated smartphone to date, attracting three million pre-orders, the Telegraph reports.

According to the report, Samsung's latest mobile model has several technological advantages over the iPhone 4S, including a quad-core processor, NFC 'tap to pay' capability and a 4.8-inch screen. (ANI)
