Kazakhstan achieves record in grain exports

Astana (Kazakhstan), Sep.14 (ANI): Kazakhstan has achieved a record in grain exports.

According to official figures, some 12.7 million tons of grain, including flour in grain equivalent was exported during 2011-2012, which is 2.5 times more than in 2010-2011.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the Statistics Agency and JSC NC ?azahstan Railways, Kazakhstan shipped 8.9 million tons of wheat and 2.6 million tones of flour for export as of September 10, 2012.

The average amount of grain shipments for export (including flour in grain equivalent) amounted to more than one million tons. (ANI)
