Washington, May 31 (ANI): U.S.'s First Lady Michelle Obama has maintained high favorability among Americans, making her more popular than President Barack Obama, a new poll has found.

According to a Gallup poll , 66 percent view Michelle favorably, compared to her husband Barack Obama, who got a 52 percent rating.

Michelle's favorability is the same as it was when it was last measured in mid-2010, but down slightly from her peak of 72 percent favorability after Obama's inauguration in 2009, Politico reports.

According to the results, there was also a partisan divide over the Obamas' favorability ratings, with both receiving 90 percent favorability from Democrats, while among Republicans, 38 percent approve of Michelle Obama, while 14 percent approve of Barack Obama.

The poll also put Michelle Obama's favorability rating in line with former first lady and current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who also has a 66 percent favorability rating.

The Gallup Poll was conducted May 10-13 with a sample of 1,012 adults and a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. (ANI)
