Perth, June 14 (ANI): Dalai Lama is regretting his decision to appear as a guest judge on the Australian version of ' MasterChef' last year.

Asked in an interview about agreeing to be part of the show, when he had proclaimed "self-promotion" a sin, he blamed his secretaries.

"They insist," Perth Now quoted him as telling London's Sunday Times.

When asked if he enjoyed the experience at all he said "No".

"I don't like ceremony. The British suffer because of this tradition," he added.

The Tibetan spiritual leader appeared in the show last year as a guest judge but had refused to judge any of the food, saying that it was against his principles. (ANI)
