PML-N, JI decide to form 'grand alliance' to get rid of 'corrupt rulers'

Lahore, June 17 (ANI): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz ( PML-N) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) have decided to form an alliance to ensure honour of the judiciary and get rid of the corrupt rulers.

"We have decided to form a grand alliance, in order to ensure the honour and independency of the judiciary in the country and to get rid of the corrupt rulers," the Daily Times quoted Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the JI chief Munawar Hasan, as saying.

Shahbaz said: "The judiciary is the only ray of hope for the nation and we will not let the ray to be eliminated. The whole nation is united and it stands for the independency of judiciary."

He said the ruling government was busy in looting the country, while the issue of load shedding has created industrial, agricultural and business crises in Pakistan .

He said they would fully defend the judiciary, which is being ridiculed.

Shahbaz said that during their meet it was agreed that all political forces should be contacted for ensuring the holding of elections in a peaceful and transparent manner.

He said both parties agreed to form an alliance to ensure a caretaker government, besides conducting transparent elections in supervision of an impartial Election Commission . (ANI)
