Sydney, July 19 (ANI): An Indian student, who was left to die after being stabbed in the eye with a screwdriver, has thanked Australians for helping fund and aid his recovery.According to The Age, Sravan Kumar, 28, still has impaired vision after he was attacked by a teenage thug at a party in 2009.He said that he is now settled in Melbourne and thanked Australians and the local
Indian community for their generosity and support."I'm happy to be staying here, I feel safer now and I just want to thank everybody that helped me, I haven't really had a chance to do that," Kumar said.Kumar earlier this year also became a permanent resident of Australia.In May 2009, Kumar was in coma, after a drug affected 17-year-old gatecrasher lashed out at him after being asked to leave a party.
